After graduation she chose to pursue her first love - writing and film making, and has continued her professional development by taking certificate courses from foreign universities namely Open University, Australia where she studied Writing for the Web in 2014; University of East Anglia where she studied Introduction to Screenwriting in 2016; National film and television school where she studied Explore filmmaking in 2016 and University of Birmingham where she studied Dementia in 2016; Creative Skillset where she studied Film production: Behind the Scenes of Feature Filmmaking in 2016; Norwich University of the Arts where she studied Visual Effects for Guerrilla Filmmakers in 2016; Michigan State University where she studied Script Writing: Write a Pilot Episode for a TV or Web Series) in 2016; Wesleyan University where she studied Creative Writing: 5 course specialization in 2016. Damilola Olaniyi lives in Lagos, Nigeria where she works as a freelance screenwriter and organizes a children’s contest and workshop called Onkowe.
